2026 ASK Easter Egg Hunt

Join ASK for our annual Easter Egg Hunt, a fun and sensory-friendly spring celebration for families in our community!

📅 Sunday, March 29, 2026
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
📍 SOMI Courtyard (Special Olympics Michigan Unified Sports & Inclusion Center)

This year’s event will be open-house style, so families can stop by anytime during the event to enjoy the activities at their own pace. Children and families can explore the courtyard, take part in a festive Easter egg hunt, enjoy simple crafts, and visit with other ASK families.

We’ll also have light refreshments and drinks available.

2026 Walk for Autism

Join us for the ASK Walk for Autism, a fun and family-friendly community event supporting individuals and families affected by autism in West Michigan.

In addition to the walk, the day will feature a Resource Fair with local service providers, arts and craft activities, face painting, games, visiting ponies, service vehicles to explore, live music from K-Rock, and giveaways from sponsors and community organizations. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks throughout the event.

Who Should Attend

Everyone is welcome! The ASK Walk for Autism brings together individuals with autism, families, friends, educators, service providers, and community supporters. Whether you are walking in honor of someone you love, looking for local resources, or simply want to support a great cause, we would love to have you join us.

Every registration, donation, and fundraiser helps Autism Support of Kent County provide programs, social opportunities, and resources for individuals and families in our community.

The Adult Puzzle Partners Meetup is a relaxed social gathering for adults to spend time together, share a meal, and enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming environment.

Participants will enjoy Jimmy John’s sandwiches, drinks, and a dessert, and are asked to contribute $5 to help cover the cost of food and refreshments.

Join us for an unforgettable night at our 4th Annual Art Gala and Auction on Friday, February 27th.  Snag your tickets for $45 each, covering dinner and a drink ticket. Hurry, as tickets must be purchased in advance – no door sales!

 Our talented ASK program participants have created many beautiful pieces that will be up for auction. There will also be other silent auction donations from local restaurants, sports venues, attractions, and more! And finally, there will be live music by the incredible "K-Rock"!

90's Music Fundraiser at Billy's Lounge

Join us for a one-of-a-kind fundraiser celebrating music, talent, and togetherness!

This special evening will feature live performances by two amazing bands — one showcasing the incredible talents of autistic musicians, K-Rock, and the other a popular local favorite, BareNaked 90’s, guaranteed to get everyone on their feet.

K-Rock will perform from 6:30 to 7:15 pm. BareNaked 90’s will then take the stage and perform until midnight!

Enjoy an evening filled with great music, good vibes, and a shared spirit of inclusion and support. Every note played and every dollar raised helps us continue our mission to provide services that make it possible for individuals with autism to lead healthier and more productive lives.

ASK Fundraiser at Mitten Brewing Company

On Monday, October 27, The Mitten Brewing Co. will be donating 50% of all food sales (all day) to ASK! This includes carryout and online ordering!

Stop in and sample the tasty craft beer and gourmet pizzas. If you can't eat in, order a pizza to go! The Mitten is family-friendly, with vegan and gluten-free options too! Proceeds will go to ASK to help fund our programs and events. Thanks for your support!

Sensory Sunday at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

Sensory Sundays at the Grand Rapids Public Museum! Next date: September 14th!

The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) is proud to introduce Sensory Sundays sponsored by Custer, an initiative designed to support visitors on the autism spectrum and individuals with other sensory processing needs.

What to expect:

Adjusted sound and lighting in current exhibits

A low-sensory planetarium show at the Chaffee Planetarium

Sensory bags with fidget tools, noise-canceling headphones, and more — available for check-out every day at the front desk (thanks to our partnership with KultureCity!)

Extra quiet spaces for visitors who need a break from sensory input — available daily at the GRPM

When: Second Sunday of each month, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

The ride is Saturday September 13 starting at 9:00 am at Riverside Park. FREE 2 mile ride for kids and families within the Park 25 mile ride to Sand Lake 50 mile ride to Sand Lake and back to Riverside Park 100 mile ride above plus 25 miles out to Ravenna and back to Riverside $100 Ride Fee is waived with $250 in pledges and sponsorships Lunch provided and station breaks at 25 mile 50 mile and 75 mile marks All riders get water bottle and cycling jersey or tee shirt.

K-Rock Concert at Rogers Park

K-Rock Live at Rogers Park!

Grand Rapids K-Rock fans, get ready! K-Rock (featuring Keenan Miller and Keegan Russell) will be rocking the Rogers Park bandshell in Sparta with their favorite classic rock hits on Saturday, September 6th from 5:30–7:30 PM.

The duo will keep the energy going all evening long, with a short break halfway through. Admission is FREE, and everyone is welcome—so bring a chair to sit back and relax!
